Many of our customers want to know what they can expect during the HVAC installation process. Our technicians understand that you may have questions. Fortunately, the HVAC installation procedure is relatively simple for our clients, and there are just a few things you need to know to prepare for the installation in Mauldin, SC.

Cover Furniture and Other Items

Anything of importance near to where the installation will happen should be adequately covered inside your home to avoid dust accumulation. This includes furniture and things that you value. Your installer can advise you beforehand whether you should go ahead and cover the items or not.

The Installation

One or more of our technicians will visit your home at your scheduled appointment time to install the new HVAC system. The installation process will take a few hours and will include our technicians removing power from the old HVAC unit to the new one, removing the refrigerant from the old unit and removing the previous equipment from your home.

Inspection of Current Pipes

Our technicians will inspect your current ductwork and electrical connections to make sure they are in excellent condition. If any of the parts are in poor condition, our technicians will go ahead and repair or replace those particular items. We may also need to replace your current thermostat.

Clean Up of Property

After we install the HVAC system, we will go ahead and start the cleanup process. This can involve removing the dust-covered drop cloths, etc.

We are glad to answer questions in order to make the procedure easier for our customers. Our trained professionals are here to help guide you through the HVAC installation process, so please don’t hesitate to contact Palmetto Heating & Air, LLC with any questions before or after the HVAC installation.
